BKT & Co @ Bangsar

BKT & Co, BangsarThe buzzing jalan telawi area, also know locally  as the watering hole, holds many gems for the foodie in quest of lip smacking dishes. One of our favorite at Foodin’kl is Bait, ideal for a few drinks and the not-to- be-missed baby octopus filled with chorizo, or the newly opened Ashley by Living food for the best organic and healthy food in Bangsar.

It was with great anticipation that we made our way to the new kid on the block ; the Bak kut teh venue aptly named “BKT & Co’ newly opened and nested between the ever crowed Banana leaf and brand new spanish venue.

In a grey industrial-ish  setting filled with memorabilia from old german movies, Chinese plays and other asian signs and neons, the talented young master in the kitchen serve his acclaimed Bak kut teh on the minimalist tables inspired by food stalls, yet much more confortable. The atmosphere is relaxed, bringing together the traditional street food atmosphere  with a modern twist, to serve one of the most flavourful dish of the Malaysian cuisine, the herbal pork broth.

Greens are also on the menu to balance this rich dish that is better consumed with tea to make sure the digestion is ideal, as per the Chinese recommendations. However BKT & co offers a wide selection fo booze, which means this makes it one of the strong contestant for the afterwork drinks too, especially with its cosy little terrace.

Head to BKT & Co for  a flavourful herbal pork broth, stay for the charming atmosphere and old school style.   BKT & Co Swanky menu
