Easy Breezy @ La Note bleue

Monaco, one of the most glamorous and mythical spot on the mediterranean sea, offers many options for dining.

However, finding a good balance between chilled out atmosphere, super food quality, airy surroundings and reasonable price can be tricky – we (sadly) cannot afford going to Alain Ducasse restaurant everyday, and actually would love to eat by the sea now that we are on the Cote d’azur.

And sometimes a place totally lives up to your imagination aka La Note bleue, in the Larvotto. This jazzy and spanky bar restaurant by the beach has it all – perfect location for a lunch or dinner with our toes grinning deliciously in the sand, while enjoying delicious fresh food mixing subtly italian flavours with french Mediterranean standards, in a relaxing white and light grey stylish environment.

For lunch I would highly recommend the Burrata plate – a very generous plate with the freshest of Burrata, the mother of them all, paired tastefully with one of Monaco most delicious specialty: the Barbajuans. Those little pockets of happiness are made of spinach, ricotta, leeks and other secret ingredients in a fried dough. The ones served in La note Bleue are pure bliss and should not be missed.

The mixed plates are also a very legit option since they offer, in a stylish and french revisited Bento manner, four different dishes based on the seasonal products – we were lucky enough to enjoy gorgeous strawberries. Regarding the desserts, your sweet tooth will be more than satisfied with the typical french Cafe gourmand – a very generous one including smaller versions of the elaborated cakes on the menu, or a fresh lemon tart complete with its meringue.

La Note Bleue is the kind of restaurant where the time stops – come for lunch and you might as well end up staying there until the evening for the jazzy concert, with a nap by the sun bed for a lazy afternoon.

Bravo La Note bleue!
