The successful and inspired italian team behind Nerovivo and Nerofico is responsible for Neroteca folkloric trattoria – a trendy and quaint atmosphere, with its hanging salami and hams, floor to ceiling shelves of italian wines and fridges filled with cheeses and postre (desserts). The cosy lighting illuminates the rustic and savory italian dishes that flows in front of you, accompanied by cosy jazzy music.
The menu includes home made pasta, imported italian goods used in stunning cold cuts plates, light and fresh salads, savory second piatti (mains) and the sweetest of desserts. The “tortelli di magro” (hand made pasta) deserves a special mention, with its astonishing mix of textures and tastes – the ricotta and spinach tortelli are magnified by the salvia butter. Exquisite. The spaghetti Carbonara is also another big hit realized with the utmost respect of the italian culture and tradition: no nonsense liquid cream here, or even worst pesto (!!). The Carbonara is done the proper italian way, and has just the right amount of eggs to give some white creamy texture, and the crunchy bacon bites to balance it while getting a bitter parmesan taste.
Open for lunch and dinner everyday, on week ends brunch is available at Neroteca and can be paired with a free flow of bubbles – oh my Prosecco! The traditional bar at the back is also an ideal place for an aperitivo with friends.
