Divine meat @ Ril’s Bangsar
Ril’s steakhouse restaurant in Bangsar knows how to make a statement by satisfying your wildest carnivorous desires. Its excellent cuisine and classy atmosphere has earned it boasting rights to getting TimeOut KL readers stamp of approval: it has now been elected twice in a row “Best Meat restaurant in KL”.
This modern restaurant in the heart of Bangsar is infused with charm and deliciousness, with, cherry on the top, a very intimate bar upstairs to sip some cocktails after a delicious meal while listening some live jazz band.
To start with, we enjoyed some fresh onion rolls and their assorted butters while waiting for our orders. The foie gras as a starter was realized to perfection and I can only recommend you to try it, should you be an aficionado. The Lobster bisque was one of the best ever tried in Kuala Lumpur, a perfectly mastered realization of smoothness and taste. We obviously came for the signature dishes too and were totally conquered by the grass feed Ribeye piece, cooked medium rare to sublime its fleshy meat in a very gourmet way. The meat being grass feed gives it an exquisite and exciting flavor which explains, partly, the award winning consecration. The Wagyu ribeye was also a real stunning experience, unforgettable for the tastebuds. We indulged in glorious portions of wedges and truffle purée, and can only recommend you to try those beauties. One of my favorite red wine of the year is available on the very extensive wine list – Pio Cesare, and is the perfect pairing for succulent meat.
