Mon cœur qui bat pour La vie en rose
Set in a gorgeously renovated bungalow, it has an unrivaled view of the Petronas towers and the Bukit Nanas jungle, a charming Provence feeling but also Parisian chic, and it is bathing in Charles Brassens and Brel’s songs. Yes, La Vie en Rose, Jean Michel Fraisse’s elegant restaurant is ‘une part de bonheur’, as per Edith Piaf’s song.
The chef cooks classic and creative french food with elegance, and even the brunch is an exquisite explosion of flavors. For your late sunday brunch, have the classic version which includes baskets of home made pastries & bread, and exquisite jams – along with Croque madame, or Eggs benedict & brandade for instance. Magnifique !
A la carte, the magret de canard, foie gras and even cheese platters are mouth watering. The service is excellent, present but not too intrusive. Should you need advice on the elaborated french wine list, the charming Till will advice you and guide you for pairings if needed.
In addition, the alfresco area is a perfect setting for an apéritif, the french way – before dinner, few drinks to celebrate the day and open your appetite. You can also bring home some french and spanish delicacies ; the boutique sells anchovies, homemade bread, salted buttered caramel…
La vie en rose is undoubtedly a place to spend a romantic, or friendly, exquisite time while sharing delicious french food.
